Dr. Raquel Lucas, a prosthodontist and clinical director with an international career, approached me to develop her personal brand from scratch. The goal was to create a visual and verbal identity that would reflect both her clinical excellence and her warm and approachable personality.

The project included the definition of brand concept and naming, tone of voice, manifesto, visual identity, website structure and content, on job photography as well as professional materials such as CV and presentation assets.
The name draquel comes from the fusion of Dra. and Raquel. In Portuguese, a female doctor is referred to as Dra. rather than Dr., which is why the brand uses “dra” instead of “dr.” It’s a simple combination that reflects who she is: professional, yet approachable; skilled, yet human.
Some call her “Doctor,” others just “Raquel” — and that doesn’t matter. What truly counts is the trust she builds, the way she makes people feel at ease, and the authenticity with which she cares for each person. The “D” becomes a starting point for multiple interpretations: Doctor, dôtora, dtora, doc, doctor, dentist… A living, flexible identity that adapts to different cultures, languages, and contexts, just like her journey, without ever losing its sense of closeness.
The typography reinforces this idea, blending different styles to represent the diversity of the world and its accents, while reflecting the care and professionalism that remain consistent no matter the location or patient.
The color palette avoids the obvious dental clichés and instead reflects Dr. Raquel’s values, experiences, and positive energy. It conveys calm, trust, and well-being — because this brand, like her practice, goes far beyond technique: it’s about people, stories, and smiles.
